This evening Nate Fronk, Jerod Skebo, and I checked the Centre Furnace Duck Pond in State College for three Lesser Scaup and a Horned Grebe that were reported this morning. At the Duck Pond we observed a male and two female Lesser Scaup, a Horned Grebe, one male and two female Redhead, a few Ring-necked Ducks, about seven American Coot, and the usual Mallards and Canada Geese. The Lesser Scaups were my 100th year bird. I was hoping to get to 100 species before I spend a week in Nebraska and reached that goal. Now, I'm trying for 110 before we leave a week from tomorrow.
Nice blog!
