First day of spring banding 4/15/2011

Our first day of banding with Emily Thomas at Sunset Park produced 29 birds total with 4 recaptures from previous years of banding. We tallied 10 species and the most abundant being Northern Cardinals.

Other birds of note were a singing Brown Thrasher, two Red-tailed Hawks, and a lone Cooper's Hawk.
